“I am one with the nation” is the motto of the brave Indian Army and Mr. D.B. Rai is no different. Having joined the army in the late 1980s, a diligent individual Mr. Rai wishes people to acknowledge him as one of the society. According to Mr. Rai, there’s more to the serving in the army than what meets the eye. His experience has lead to him to adapt to different cultures and befriend different kinds of people.
With the possession of an indispensable treasure of encountering and exploring the country, Mr. D.B. Rai graced the TEDxMSRIT stage and spoke about what Patriotism means to him.
Colonel D.B. Rai joined the Indian Army after graduating with a degree in Commerce. He has served all over India and has served in Lebanon as a part of United Nations Peace Keeping Force. With a gold medal awarded by the president for standing First in the order of Merit in 1996, he has also been felicitated with Army Commander’s Commendation Card in 2016.
