Reimagining Justice | Scott Holmes | TEDxDurham

Imagine a dystopian world where people kept warehouses filled with people. Isolated, alone, permitted outside for an hour a day, but not permitted to talk to anyone. This is our current criminal justice system. In this talk, Scott Holmes offers an alternative to our current system of mass incarceration. An attorney and North Carolina Central University law professor, Scott Holmes is best known as the defense attorney for the activists that toppled a confederate monument in Durham and the Silent Sam statue at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
